Flander's Lane, Washington Maine

Flander's Lane is named after my grandfather, Roland Flanders. It is a short dirt road with a few camps set on Washington Pond. There are tales that Flander's Lane is haunted. At least that's what my grandfather says.

Packed & Ready

High Street Storage, Oakland CAEverything we own is in numbered boxes and stacked up in a 10 x 10 storage space in Oakland. I feel like I'll never see any of it again, or worse, someday have to face taking it all out of here and schlepping it into some new rental.

We are ready to head off to Maine. Our little life in California is over for now, and I'm very excited to get on with it. I look forward to my wee one swimming in the lake, listening to the loons late at night, and seeing my family once again.

We're off to Boston, then we take a small plane to Owl's Head Airport in Rockland Maine. Owl's Head is a funny airport. It seems like it's really for crop duster planes that help out farmers. One walks in, and out through the small building that is only big enough to hold the desk and computer they use to check reservations. See ya later, alligator.
