Flander's Lane, Washington Maine

Flander's Lane is named after my grandfather, Roland Flanders. It is a short dirt road with a few camps set on Washington Pond. There are tales that Flander's Lane is haunted. At least that's what my grandfather says.

My Little Pumpkin

Little PumpkinHere's my little Pumpkin with her little Pumpkin grammy grew just for her. Gosh they are beautiful - aren't they?

So we've been in Camden for a while now. The area is very beautiful, especially this time of year. The trees are all vibrant, the marina looks all moody and misty. There's a very special haunted atmosphere here. It's just so old feeling.
Autumn LeavesHere's a photo from our kitchen window. We're just a few days away from Halloween, and we are all excited. Camden seems like the perfect place for trick or treatin'. Let's all hope for a clear night, as it's been raining a lot lately. Hopefully the skies will get it all out of their system so we have a nice night out on the town.

This year the wee one wants to be the Fairy Godmother from Disney's Cinderella. My creative wife made her a big blue dress with large sleeves with matching hooded cloak. It's really complex, all lined with glittery stars on the inside, dark blue on the outside. My kid has worn it every day since it was made, and can be heard running around the house going "bippity boppity boo!" It's probably a good thing that she made such a layered costume. Notice the daytime temperature gauge outside the window showing 40 degrees farenheit.
